Medicine of the Peace was founded by Dr. Tasha Mintzer during the height of the COVID- 19 pandemic in March of 2020. What started as an organization created as an outlet for human kindness and connection quickly birthed into donation based meditation gatherings via zoom, in person Heart opening Cacao Ceremonies held outside at Mission Trails Grinding Rocks, to Kambo ceremonies, Ear Seed and Reiki events, Yoga in the Park, Medicine of the Peace Clinic at the Whole Family Wellness Center in San Diego, to international healing retreats at the Jah Selva Lodge in the Amazonian jungle of Peru, where all walks of life can receive acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, holistic facial rejuvenation, and indigenous offerings.

At Medicine of the Peace we are on a mission to create a new paradigm in the healthcare system, where alternative medicine is no longer considered alternative, yet the norm, a lifestyle. Our goal is to serve our community by connecting individuals with the means to achieve their most optimal level of health and wellness possible. We focus on more than just symptoms. We review how the body, mind and the spirit need to be addressed collectively.  We remember that nature is the source of it all. We invite everyone to experience the treatments that we so proudly offer.

We provide natural holistic health and wellness services utilizing the modalities of Eastern medicine and Amazonian traditions with the ultimate goal of restoring balance within and returning our patients to their center. The power to heal is within us all and it is our mission to support each patient in uncovering their innate ability to achieve inner harmony and good health.

We place a huge emphasis on preventing disease rather than focusing on curing the sickness. Treatments are provided by Doctors of Chinese Medicine, Acupuncturists, Herbologists and Indigenous Medicine Keepers who incorporate the mindful use of Mother Earth's precious resources and knowledge, all while sharing the belief that healthcare should be accessible and affordable. Furthermore, our providers strive to give back through volunteer work with Community Acupuncture services, Indigenous sound events paired with acupuncture, Cacao Ceremonies, Health fairs, Group and Individual Kambo Ceremonies, International Healing retreats with Acupuncture, Ayahuasca and Kambo, Lifestyle and Nutritional Educational seminars to underserved communities and their families all across the United States and Peru.

We see whole families healing, and we provide services for all ages and stages of life. 

For those in dire need, financial hardship or low income- We offer discounted rate for individual acupuncture sessions and partial scholarship for retreats. Let us know your story and we can work something out.
